This group has been established to help fellow Adobe devotees within the Dallas/Fort Worth TX area have a greater understanding of current and forthcoming happenings within the web development world today. We will be concentrating on Adobe (formerly Macromedia) products such as:

* Dreamweaver
* Flash
* Fireworks
* Captivate

...as well as with other popular pieces such as the mighty Photoshop. While these items may account for a majority of our discussions, it will by no means come at the expense of others (ex: Illustrator, GoLive, Freehand, etc...). We will even discuss upcoming products from the competition and see how they all stack up against the product line we've all come to love from Adobe/Macromedia. One potential topic might be to determine whether constant comparisons of the open source imaging editing software known as "the GIMP" to Adobe Photoshop are really warranted. Perhaps we could check under the hood of Microsoft Visual Studio and judge whether it really has closed the gap with Dreamweaver?

The membership will drive what we will be the topic of the day as well as where we will hold our meetings. Typically we will try to hold these events at a central location for everyone. These gatherings will be held once a month, with our first gathering to be held on Saturday, October 14 at 11:00AM thru 1:00PM at NerdBooks of Richardson. What does your free membership entail? In addition to discounts from various technical publishers and training sessions - there will also be raffles of various adobe gear (including software) and sneak peaks at upcoming Adobe products in development.
