Hey, Jason. Is there a particular version of Flash that the book focuses (or relies) on?
Thanks.

Thanks for asking. All of the code in the book is AS2 and there are actually a couple of reasons for this. When you're working with advertising you are at the mercy of both the penetration rates of the Flash player and the comfort level of the sites that run your ads. When you're talking about banners, most sites aren't comfortable with utilizing the most recent version and we're actually just now starting to see a few that are OK with version 8 (there are still plenty out there that require version 6 or lower). The thinking is similar for microsites but the difference is that you have to do what is best for your client. While publishing the most current version in order to use some cool effect or new feature is what we all want to do, sometimes that means that you end up alienating a few potential visitors (which means $$ to your client).
