Hello fellow DFW AUGers, my name is Jason Fincanon and I'm honored to say that I'll be writing for the DFW Adobe User Group website. My main focus will cover Flash and the individual posts/articles may be about anything from helpful utilities and tools to my personal review of new Flash websites. However, I'd like to first take the opportunity to tell you a little about myself and my background.
Incase you haven't already figured it out, the name FlashCanon is a combination of "Flash" and "Fincanon". I don't remember who first called me FlashCanon, but I do remember it was one of my coworkers (very possibly Chris Long) at Click Here where I'm a Sr. Multimedia Developer. My experience with Flash goes back to 1998 after I graduated from The Art Institute of Dallas and my adventures in the world of advertising started in 2003. I recently finished my first book which is titled "Hands-On Guide To Creating Flash Advertising" and will be shipping on August 24th. If you're interested, I have a couple of blogs that I maintain: The FlashCanon and The FlashCanon Lab (haven't had much time to write to the lab lately).
Well, there's a little about me. I hope that you find my future writings helpful/informative and please feel free to talk to me about anything Flash related in the forums or comments of my posts.
One last note: that silly picture of me is really the only one I can find right now... apparently I'm always on the other side of the camera.
Until next time,
Jason
