Here, let me help you spin some wheels while you're waiting for the three-day weekend to start. This week we have "deprecated" features in Dreamweaver, a nifty Fireworks command for those of us who need to provide quick comps, how to set up development environments, and Flex vs Ajax benchmarking.

We've only just met, but this being my second entry for DFWAUG, I should let you in on a little secret. Time management is clearly not my strongest asset. (This is why I prefer to bill by the project, not by the hour) *chuckle*
It's early morning and I still haven't gotten all my stuff together for vacation. Later on today, my wife & I should be on a plane headed to Phoenix, AZ. Personal details aside, I hope to give some live reports from the Photoshop World Conference in Vegas next week.

The last week or so in Dreamweaver sees additional info about developing for AIR in DW CS3, new color scheme functionality in Fireworks, and some warranted grumpiness about ColdFusion 8 documentation.

Greetings & Salutations!
Gene & Kevin have been kind enough to invite me to contribute to their slice of blogging goodness. Let me jump right in and say compared to my savvy cohorts, I'm the creative generalist of the group. This means I've a mind to speak on any number of topics, products or newsworthy items, given my caffeine level or overall state of schizophrenia. InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, if it's an Adobe product, I'm bound to have an opinion. Sometimes I might even have something nice to say about Microsoft... heh heh.

Hi, everyone. i've been tagged to keep us up to date on all things Dreamweaver. i expect i'll include in my brief other Adobe products that are related primarily to web design--products like Contribute and Fireworks--as well as web-related technologies like CSS. My first entry will be an introduction to myself and also an introduction to my favorite online resource for web-related technologies.

J. Schuh began his career in Animation working for LSG Animation doing 2D animation, illustration and design. He started his own company Toons-N-Design (www.toonsndesign.com) in 1998. He later helped start a local animation studio Element X Creative in 2004.

The word photography comes from two Greek words meaning to write with light. That's essentially the craft, isn't it? After all, without light you can't take a photograph! (OK, forget about non-light photo technologies - most of us don't have that kind of equipment)
Learning to see light and how that light falls on your subject is a skill that can turn your everyday snapshot into fine art photography. Some of you may remember the instructions that came with general consumer cameras back in the 50's and 60's. They told us to make sure that the sun was to our back and falling directly on the subject. Remember that? Good. Now forget it!

Hey DFWAUG,
I just wanted to write a brief hello and say that I am looking forward to spreading Flex goodness all around. My name is Chris Long and I am a Senior Multimedia Developer for Click Here, Inc / The Richards Group. I attended The University of Oklahoma as a multimedia major. I got started with Flash in '97 by doing work for local bands.

My name is Kevin Stagg, and I am an eLearning Specialist for Avalon Consulting, LLC in McKinney. What is an eLearning Specialist you ask? Basically I'm a jack-of-all trades when it comes to that field. I work with Learning Mangement Systems, develop online training, do classroom instruction on several online development tools. See? eLearning Specialist. Looks cool on the biz cards too.
