Some topics I can speak on

I'd be happy to talk about any of the experiences I've had if anybody is interested....

Yahoo Maps Flash API
I created a game using Yahoo Maps API. Through the process, I learned a lot about using custom markers, location searches, custom tools, etc.

Multiplayer Games using Electroserver
I'm currently working on my third multiplayer game using Electroserver. It's relatively easy to get a grasp of. The only major hurdle is its documentation.

Paul Medcalf is my new best friend.

Thanks Paul! Earlier this year, I looked into Google maps for a client application and had a lot of trouble getting accurate projection information for use in highly customized overlays. I hope this topic is selected for a future meeting.

Thanks again for your topic suggestions!

Oh Jim, you're making me do research so I know what you just asked. :-)

The only detail I had to get into was Lat and Lon.

I did find this which probably will mean more to you than me.
Yahoo! Maps images are delivered by the Yahoo! Maps server in Mercator projection. As a practical matter they cannot be re-projected. To use such images in a map, create the map based upon the Yahoo! Maps image so the map uses the same Mercator projection as the Yahoo! Maps image.
Does the Yahoo API expose the particular type of map projection used to display their maps, i.e. Mercator, Albers equal area, etc. and provide the relevant parameters for the projection?

The Maps API would be a great talk.

thanks,

- jim
